Training Courses

The sound of the universe can be found in the silence in your heart.

Where Science Meets Spirituality. Do you want to learn more about sound healing? Do you want to meditate or facilitate with singing bowls, gongs or voice?

Our courses are unique as they respect and honour the traditions from which this modality originated - Bon shamanism, the Vedic tradition and Buddhism. Further, they are grounded in hard science, complemented by ongoing research with trusted institutions.

The courses at Sound Healing Africa combine tradition, spirituality, science, music, history, and philosophy to ensure a well-rounded education in this discipline.

About the teacher for the Himalayan traditions: Narissa Allibhai, Sound Healing Specialist

Narissa’s teachings combine traditions and practices handed down to her by her teacher who is a renowned international sound healing master from the Himalayas - with hard science, spirituality, history, music, and loving intentions. This along with her own experience and learnings along the path of Nada Yoga over the last 7 years ensure you a holistic learning experience that is ethically constructed.

Narissa laid the foundation for sound healing in Kenya back in 2018, long before it became a fad and fascination more widely. She slowly but surely started the groundwork of bringing awareness to the practice and sharing it with various communities across East Africa. In doing this, it has always been humbling for her to meet and exchange with wisdom holders across various traditions, philosophies and schools to exchange knowledge.

As the masses start to engage with these practices and tools, Narissa is dedicated to ensuring there is a space available, through Sound Healing Africa, to study the authentic tradition, ancient teachings, and to share the actual science of sound healing - which is very hard to find. (It actually took her several courses, travels, searching and trial & error to find a true sound healing master). She was finally given blessing and instruction to go ahead and teach in February 2024.

Narissa is herself a musician specialising in the bamboo flute and voice, a conscious community builder, a nature-lover, and a dedicated meditator since over 25 years ago. She is a peaceful, light-hearted and fun-loving soul full of love, smiles and hugs!
